Salt Room Rules & Etiquette Policy

To ensure all guests enjoy a relaxing and comfortable salt therapy experience, we ask that visitors follow the guidelines below when attending a session.

Arrival Time

Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled session. This allows time for check-in, a brief introduction, and settling into the salt room before the session begins. Late arrivals may result in reduced session time so as not to disturb other guests.

Quiet and Relaxing Environment

Salt therapy sessions are designed to be calm and peaceful.

To maintain this environment we ask guests to:

  • Speak quietly when necessary

  • Silence mobile phones or leave them outside the salt room. Do NOT use inside

  • Respect the relaxation of other guests

Shoes and Cleanliness

Salt rooms require a clean environment to maintain the quality of the salt.

Guests may be asked to:

  • Remove shoes or wear provided shoe covers

  • Avoid bringing food or drinks into the salt room

  • Ensure clothing is clean and free of strong fragrances or perfumes

Clothing

Comfortable clothing is recommended. Guests remain fully clothed during sessions.

Salt is a natural mineral and may settle lightly on clothing, however it does not stain and can be easily brushed off.

Health and Illness

For the safety of all guests, please do not attend your session if you have:

  • A fever

  • A contagious illness

  • Cold or flu symptoms

  • Any condition that may pose a risk to others

If you are unsure whether you should attend, please contact us before your appointment.

Children in the Salt Room

Children aged 6 years and over may attend designated sessions.

Parents or guardians must:

  • Supervise children at all times

  • Ensure children remain calm and respectful of the quiet environment

  • Ensure children follow all salt room rules

Respect for the Salt Room

The salt on the floor and walls is part of the therapy environment.

Please do not:

  • Throw or intentionally disturb the salt

  • Touch equipment used to disperse the salt

  • Move furniture unless instructed by staff

Staff Instructions

For safety and comfort, please follow all instructions provided by staff members during your visit.

If you feel uncomfortable or unwell during a session, notify a staff member immediately.

First-Time Visitor Guide

If you are visiting our salt therapy room for the first time, we look forward to welcoming you. Below is a helpful guide to ensure you know what to expect and how to prepare for your session.

What is Salt Therapy?

Salt therapy (halotherapy) involves relaxing in a specially designed room where fine, dry salt particles are gently dispersed into the air. Guests simply sit back, relax and breathe normally while enjoying the calming atmosphere.

Sessions are designed to support relaxation and overall wellbeing.

What to Wear

You can attend your session in comfortable everyday clothing.

Suggestions include:

  • Casual clothing or activewear

  • Comfortable layers

  • Closed shoes that can easily be removed if required

Salt does not stain clothing and can easily be brushed off after your session.

What to Expect During Your Session

When you arrive:

  1. You will be greeted and checked in by our staff.

  2. A brief introduction will be provided explaining the session.

  3. You will enter the salt room and take a comfortable seat.

  4. The session will begin, typically lasting around 45 minutes.

During the session you can:

  • Sit back and relax

  • Read a book or magazine

  • Meditate or rest quietly

Many guests simply enjoy the peaceful environment and focus on breathing.

During the Session

Some guests may experience:

  • A mild salty taste in the air

  • Occasional light coughing as airways clear

  • A feeling of deep relaxation

These sensations are normal for many people and usually pass quickly.

After Your Session

After your session you may feel relaxed and refreshed. Some guests also report feeling clearer breathing or a sense of calm.

Salt particles may be visible on clothing, which can be easily brushed off.

Important Health Considerations

If you have any medical conditions, respiratory issues, or are pregnant, we recommend reviewing our Health & Safety Policy and consulting your healthcare provider if necessary before attending.
